SEMH Practitioners

Full-Time

We are looking for full-time staff to join our existing teams in the Devon and Somerset Area.

Wage: £26,500-£27,500 (DOE based on 10 shifts a month, inclusive of £70per night sleep-in)

As a Social Emotional Mental Health Practitioner, you will provide a mentoring role in our Young People’s lives to help them to grow, develop and achieve new heights of ability, skills and virtue.

Looking for ideally qualified level 3 or experienced staff. Alternatively, enthusiastic and resilient people who are looking for a meaningful change in their careers. All our team members have one core philosophy to bring change to young people’s lives, this process of change can be challenging, caring, exciting, normal; however the belief is constant.

We offer a wide variety of regulatory training alongside additional professional development courses, as well as ongoing mentoring and coaching.

Deputy Managers

Fulltime

Wage: £30,900-£35,400 (DOE based on 10 shifts a month, inclusive of £70per night sleep-in)

We are looking for a candidate who can support the management of a children’s residential home, who has an extensive knowledge and a solid background in working with children who have complex needs, this individual will need to be dynamic and driven in services for children who are “Looked After” and driving excellence through the Ofsted framework.

The core task of this position will be to ensure the excellent standards of care and consistency and services are maintained and developed.

You will ensure that the environment and all services provided comply with statutory regulations, governance and quality standards.

The post holder will support the Registered Manager responsibilities with the Children’s Homes Quality Standards as well as Ofsted inspection and provide leadership ensuring a process of continuous improvement.

Liaising with outside agencies and stake holders you will demonstrate professionalism and act as a role model for staff.

Please note that due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and reference verification before employment can commence. This includes both spent and unspent convictions, as well as information held by local police deemed as relevant to the role.

Employment is conditional on satisfactory DBS and reference clearance.

The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) helps employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children.

Requirements (Essential)

  • At least 2 years’ experience in working in a similar role within a Children’s home
  • Level 3 or above Diploma Children and Young People residential childcare.
  • Ability to manage and develop staff, working in a diverse and creative manner
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted and the Children’s Home Quality Standards (April 2015)
  • Self-motivated and passionate individual
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Registered Managers

Full Time

Currently Impact for Change aren’t looking for Registered Managers. However, if you are looking for a change and want to be part of our team always give us a call to see if we can help.

Agency/ Bank Staff

Flexible Hours

Impact for Change are looking for flexible bank staff to work within Impact for Change and also to support other local Children’s Homes.

Person Specifications:

  • Flexible.
  • Available at short notice.
  • Working on own initiative.
  • Being intuitive to team and young people’s needs.
  • Be engaged in training and development opportunities.

Wage: £12 per hour.

As bank staff you are treated as part of the Impact for Change family, with all the training and employee perks.
